ITINERARY:
Day 1: AUCKLAND - BAY OF ISLANDS
We leave Auckland and make us on our way to Whangarei. We stop at the exclusive Toilets in Kawakawa - they were build by the famous Austrian Architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
We reach the Bay of Islands in the late afternoon.
Overnight: Pahia, Bay of Islands
Day 2: BAY OF ISLANDS
Time to enjoy a cruise through the Bay, most famous is the Cream Trip - here the boat delivers and picks up milk from the farms on the way to the Hole in the Rock. It is also possible to swim with dolphins. You may also decide to hop of the vessel in Russel and enjoy some hours at the beach.
Overnight: Pahia, Bay of Islands
Day 3: BAY OF ISLANDS & NORTHLAND
A good and fun thing to do is to go on a Jetski Trip through the Bay. Then there is Waitangi, We show you round the Bay, including the Haururu Falls, the Mangroves and we walk through the Treaty Ground of Waitangi. In the evening we make our way to Kaitaia - at the bottom end of "90 Mile Beach", the southern end of 90 Mile Beach is a fantastic place to go horseriding.
Overnight: Kaitaia - Northland
Day 4: NINETY MILE BEACH - CAPE REINGA
We leave early in the morning to link up with the bus leaving from Kaitaia to Ninety Mile Beach and to Cape Reinga or we drive with our vehicle to the top of the North Island.. You have the chance to have a lot of fun and enjoy a ride with a tobaggon from the top of the dunes.
Overnight: Kaitaia - Northland
Day 5: AHIPARA - HOKIANGA HARBOUR - KAURI FOREST - AUCKLAND
Then it is off to Hokianga Harbour, huge dunes are expecting us across the harbour. We allow time to explore the Kauri Forests, including Tane Mahuta - the giant of the forest - a giant almost 2000 years old. We make our way back to Auckland, where we will be back in the evening.
NOTES TO 'FOUR' day Tour 22 to 25th of March 2012:
This tour is 4 days instead of the regular 5 days - at the end of Day 2 you will go to Kaitaia. You will still see Waitangi and then there is also time to go Jetskiiing. Your guide and you will make adjustments to the itinerary to give you the best possible experience.
