ITINERARY:
DAY 1: AUCKLAND TO COROMANDEL
We will pick you up in Auckland and drive to the Coromandel Peninsula.
You will have time to walk to the famous Cathedral Caves, these Chalk cliffs lie around a couple of great beaches and it is a great place for a swim! Hot Water Beach, our next stop en route entices you to dig your own thermal pool into the sand (best at low tide), also to sit back and watch dolphins playing in the surf. This is also a good place to try out surfing!

DAY 2: COROMANDEL – ROTORUA
On our way south we drive through Kiwifruit orchards before reaching Kaitiaki Adventures – where you have the opportunity to go rafting. Then it is off to Rotorua, where we arrive after lunch. The town sits on top of a thermal area. We will go sightseeing to show you the famous Museums building, the lakefront and the Rachel Hot Springs. We get an insight into Maori culture at a local Marae - 'Maori Meeting house'

DAY 3: ROTORUA – AUCKLAND//FLIGHT TO CHRISTCHURCH – KAIKOURA
In the morning we show you the magnificent Wai-O-Tapu Thermal area.
This thermal area hosts the colorful ‘Champagne Pool”. Afterwards you will have time to jump under a hot waterfall and you can also take a bath in a thermal river! Then it is back to Rotorua or Auckland – we are catching a flight to the South Island.
Two hours later we reach the magnificent Pacific Ocean and Kaikoura, lying on a peninsula stretching into the sea. Wehave dinner on the way in a small country town!

DAY 04: KAIKOURA - WESTCOAST & GLACIERS
In the morning you have the choice to go Whale watching, see dolphins or to go for a walk along the foreshore – the favorite playground of many seals. For those ones interested in Maori culture a magnificent guided tour is also a very good choice. In the afternoon we cross the scenic Arthur’s pass before reaching the West Coast. Late afternoon we arrive at the glacier. Franz Josef’s Glacier Pools invite you to have a relaxed evening.

DAY 05: GLACIERS TO QUEENSTOWN
You have the choice to go for a hike on the glacier – alternatively you can also just walk to a viewpoint from where you can see the glaciers ending in the rainforest. An alternative could be to go for a horse ride close to the glacier village.
After we leave town we stop at a fantastic beach and hunt for greenstone. We then see some dramatic cliff faces until we reach the remote settlement of Haast, right at the bottom of the West Coast.
We have further stops at a stunning waterfall before making our way over the dramatic Haast Pass to the beautiful settlement of Wanaka. We reach Queenstown via the scenic Crown Range.

DAY 06: QUEENSTOWN TIME OUT
In the morning you have time to get to know Queenstown, a great place to see the town and the stunning location is from the Top of the Gondola, where you also may try to go luging.
We make our way into the Kawarau gorge, you can go for a ride in a Jet boat and those ones not wanting to do this can explore a historic gold mining area.
We then stop at the Bungy Bridge, anyone keen can jump at the place where the bungy jumps where invented. We allow spend time in Arrowtown, site of many 'Lord of the Rings' locations and a great place to go shopping.
In the afternoon you have the options to enjoy some of the Adventure Activities in Queenstown or get to know some remote parts of the country, such as ‘Skipper’s Canyon or go Funyaking in the Paradise valley; a very well known area thanks to the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the 'Milka cow commercials'.
Alternatively you can go to the iconic Milford Sound. Fastest option is to go by plane and combine it with a boat cruise. The steep cliff faces and dramatic landscape with many glaciers, snow capped mountains, waterfalls and rainforest build a dramatic backdrop for this stunning scenery which you find in every guidebook.

DAY 07: QUEENSTOWN - CHRISTCHURCH
Past the Southern Alps, with many lakes on the way we make our way back to Christchurch. There is time for you to enjoy the Center of town with it's magnificent Art's Center and the Botanical Gardens.
